Members of NZ Cricket team take part in practice session

The members of New Zealand Cricket team took part in their practice session at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) in the city’s Mirpur on Monday.

The members, who arrived in Dhaka on Saturday, only participated in the practice session at the SBNCS yesterday. The players, who reached Dhaka on Sunday, took part in recess.

So, a few numbers of New Zealand players and the coaching staff took part in the training session on Monday.

Bowling Coach of New Zealand Cricket team Shane Jurgensen who came Dhaka with New Zealand Cricket team was the former bowling coach of Bangladesh Cricket team.

So, the SBNCS is known to him.

During the practice session, he chat with the Pitch Curator Gamini de Silva.

Some ground staff also talked to him.

The cricketers of New Zealand took part in the warm-up session at the SBNCS.

Then, they went to BCB-NCA Ground, which is adjacent to the SBNCS.

There they took part in the net session.

The batters of New Zealand did batting in the net against the net bowlers.

Most of the local net bowlers were spinners.

Henry Nicholls, Blair Tickner, Dean Foxcroft did batting in the net.

Spinner Ish Sodhi did bowling in the net.

The Kiwis are trying to adapt with the hot weather of Bangladesh.

The New Zealanders arrived Bangladesh after they had played in England.

The weather and the conditions of Dhaka is a big challenge for the New Zealanders.

They have a few days for practice.

The three-match One Day International (ODI) series between Bangladesh and India will be held at the SBNCS very soon.

Bangladesh will take on New Zealand in the first ODI on September 21, the Tigers will face the Kiwis in the second ODI on September 23, Bangladesh will meet New Zealand in the third ODI on September 26.
