Shahin gets Mother Teresa Golden Award

Business Post’s reporter Shahin Howlader has been awarded for the ‘Mother Teresa Golden Award 2023’ for his contributions in economic journalism.
On behalf of Shahin Howlader, his elder brother Sakhawat Hossain received the award and certificate from the chairman of Bangladesh Press Council Justice Md. Nizamul Haque Nasim through a function held at a auditorium in the capital on Thursday.
Chairman of the Islami Ganatantrik Party and former Member of Parliament M A Awal and Vice-Chancellor of Global University Prof Dr. Anisuzzaman, among others, were present.
Shahin Howlader also received the ‘Global Youth Leadership Award 2023’ from the Global Youth Parliament which is one of the largest youth organizations in the world.
Earlier, various social and cultural organizations also honored Shahin Howlader for his outstanding contribution in journalism.
Mr Howlader started his journalism in 2006 as a correspondent of his birth plac Borhanuddin Upazila of Bhola district.
Then he started as an economic reporter at Daily Shomoyer Alon from Dhaka based newspaper.
Shahin Howlader’s investigative journalism published on the irregularities and corruption in the country’s financial sector were widely appreciated.
Those lead news of the economic sector including the Ministry of Finance and Bangladesh Bank made him widely known.

As part of professional duties, he already traveled to various countries including USA,UAE, Malaysia, Thailand, India and other countries.
