Youth held with weapons in Feni

Police arrested a youth with a locally made firearm in Feni.

Arrestee Jamal Hossain alias Sabuj (35) is the son of Nuruzzaman of Purb Hajipur village of Begumganj upazila of Noakhali.

According to Feni Model Police Station, Jamal Hossain was arrested early Sunday morning in the colony of North Shibpur freedom fighter Mohin Uddin.

At that time, according to his confession, a country-made gun was recovered from the garden adjacent to the colony.

Officer-in-charge of Feni Model Police Station Shahidul Islam Chowdhury said that the accused Jamal had been living as a tenant in the colony of Mohin Uddin, a freedom fighter in north Shibpur of Feni city for a long time and was involved in various thefts and robberies.

There is an arrest warrant against him in a robbery case at Feni Model Police Station.

A case was registered and handed over to the court on Sunday afternoon in the case of recovery of weapons.
