AL leader found dead in Cox’s Bazar hotel

Police recovered the body of an Awami League (AL) leader from a residential hotel in Cox’s Bazar on Monday .

The victim has been identified as Saif Uddin, 45, information and research affairs secretary of Cox’s Bazar Municipal unit Awami League.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Cox’s Bazar Sadar Model police station Rafiqul Islam confirmed the matter to the media saying that police recovered the body, with his hands and feet tied from behind, from a room at “Hotel Sunmoon” on Monday morning.

Further details would be revealed after investigation, he added.
