Senegalese striker Habib Diallo, who hit 20 Ligue 1 goals for Strasbourg last season, has joined the player exodus to Saudi Arabia and signed for Al-Shabab, the French club announced on Thursday.
French media reported that Strasbourg could receive as much as 20 million euros (21.75 million dollars), which would be a club record.
The 28-year-old striker joined Strasbourg from Metz in 2020 and scored a total of 41 goals in 103 games in all competitions.
“Habib has brought a lot to Racing and we are grateful to him for that.
We’ve always believed in his qualities and he’s justified our confidence in him,” said Strasbourg.
