Wahab retires from international cricket

Pakistani fast bowler Wahab Riaz declared his retirement on Wednesday from international cricket.

However, as he stated when he announced his retirement through a post on ‘X’, the 38-year-old will continue to play franchise cricket.

“Stepping off the international pitch.

After an incredible journey, I’ve decided to retire from international cricket.

Big thank you to PCB, my family, coaches, mentors, teammates, fans, and everyone who supported me.

Exciting times ahead in the world of franchise cricket!” Wahab wrote.

Known for his pace and aggression, Riaz made his one-day debut in 2008, and played his first Test in the spot-fixing-marred 2010 series in England.
