‘City’s dev works hamper due to incompetency of CCC’

CDA Chairman Zahirul Alam Dobhas has claimed that Chattogram City Corporation has given work to Chattogram Development Authority (CDA) as incompetent to implement the project. Heclaimed this in a press conference held at the CDA Conference Room on Wednesday .

Even though most areas of the city have been submerged due to continuous heavy rains, no official of Chittagong Development Authority (CDA) has been seen for the past four days. The company justified itself by holding a regular press conference.

Although there was a press conference on waterlogging, the CDA chairman was mainly busy refuting the statement made by Ccc Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury against the CDA in a local newspaper.

At that time, he claimed the Mayor’s statement as false.

He said that since the CDA was implementing a drainage project, everyone thought that all the responsibility was on the CDA. Originally, the project was given to CDA as the City Corporation could not do the drainage work.

CDA is implementing only one project.

The mayor is blaming the CDA with wrong information.

In a press conference, the director of the flood relief project, Lt. Col. Shah Ali said that an agreement was signed with the army after the project was taken over. There are 36 canals in our project.

But there are about 57 canals in Chittagong city. Expansion of 36 canals is in progress but remaining 21 canals have not been expanded. which is not covered by our project. which may cause waterlogging.
