RICL gets two top bosses

Mohd. Hanif Chowdhury and SM Shafiul Hoque has been re-elected as the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Republic Insurance Company Limited (RICL) respectively.

The 145th meeting of the Board of Directors of the company took the decision, said a press release.

Mohd. Hanif Chowdhury is the Group Chairman of Unitex Group.

He is the Chairman of Unitex Spinning Limited (Unit-1, Unit-2 & Unit-3), Unitex Composite Mills Limited, HS Composite Textile Limited, Unitex LPG Limited, Unitex Synthetic Limited, Unitex Steel Mills Limited, Unitex Petroleum Limited, Unitex Pvt. Limited and Unitex Lubricant Limited.

He was the Director of Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited and Vice Chairman of Global Islami Bank Limited.

Mr. Chowdhury obtained his B.Sc degree under Chattogram University in 1976. He started his business career in 1980 in Garments sector. Then he explored his business in Textile sector.

Vice Chairman SM Shafiul Hoque is a Sponsor Director of Republic Insurance Company Limited since its incorporation.

He is the Chairman of Integral Apparels Limited & director of Choice Group of Industries.

He is the former Vice President of Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCCI).
