Three members of a family from Bangladesh have been killed in a tragic road crash in Saudi Arabia’s Dammam while they were returning after performing Umrah.
The accident took place on Saturday morning.
The deceased persons have been identified as Mobarak Hossain, 48, his son Tanjil Abdullah, 17, and daughter Mahiya Mahi, 14.
Two others injured are Mobarak’s wife Shikha Akhter, 40, and elder daughter Mithila Farzana Mim, 19.
The injured family members are undergoing treatment at a local hospital.
Earlier on 4 August, Mobarak along with his family members went to Mecca for performing Umrah hajj.
Later, the five members of the family got injured in an accident when a vehicle hit his private car while returning to Mobarak’s residence in Dammam city.
They were taken to a local hospital where the doctors declared Mobarak, Tanzil and Mahi dead.
Mobarak’s wife and elder daughter have been undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Mobarak, son of Sheikh Mohammad Ali of Charbhadrashon upazila, has been living in Saudi Arabia with his family for nearly 24 years.
