14-party alliance to launch week-long progs today

City Desk :
Central 14-party alliance is going to launch a weeklong programme from Wednesday next, protesting the anti-state conspiracies of BNP.
Central 14-party alliance Spokesperson and Coordinator Amir Hossain Amu made the announcement after holding a meeting of the alliance at his Eskaton residence in the city on Monday afternoon.
“We (14-party alliance) will stay in field from August 2 with a weeklong programme. We will submit the programme schedule to the authorities concerned tomorrow. Upon getting the approval, the programme will continue throughout the week,” he said, reports BSS.

Amu, also ruling Awami League (AL) advisory council member, said it has been noticed that BNP is talking about the amendment of the constitution.
They want to introduce another trend disrupting the constitutional process, he said, adding, “We will accept any condition for free and fair elections. But, we will not allow the amendment of the constitution by disrupting the constitutional process”.
