Hasan mourns death of journo Shahjahan Mia

Information and Broadcasting Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of veteran journalist and valiant freedom fighter M Shahjahan Mia, who died in the capital on Wednesday night.
In a condolence message on Thursday, the minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Earlier, a wreath was placed on behalf of Dr Hasan on the coffin of Shahjahan Mia by the ministry’s Director (public relations) Mir Akram Uddin Ahammad following the namaj-e-janaza of the journalist leader on the Jatiya Press Club (JPC) premises on Thursday afternoon.
In the condolence message, Dr Hasan, also Awami League Joint General Secretary, said the death of veteran journalist and efficient organizer M Shahjahan is a painful chapter in the journalism arena.
