Objection made to EC against BNM registration

Staff Reporter :
A lawyer has filed an objection to the Election Commission (EC) against the registration of Bangladesh Nationalist Movement (BNM).
Lawyer Ali Naser Khan filed the objection to the EC secretary on Sunday urging the commission for giving registration to BNM.

However, the EC has primarily selected two new political parties- Bangladesh Nationalist Movement (BNM) and Bangladesh Supreme Party (BSP)- to give registration to participate in the next parliamentary polls which is scheduled to be held at the end of this year or early the next year.

The EC had issued a circular saying that if anyone has objection over two parties’ registration; submit the written objection by July 26. After solving the objections, the EC will decide whether they will get registration or not.
