Man to die for killing wife

A Court in Kishoreganj on Thursday afternoon has sentenceD a man to death for killing his wife in Pakundia upazila of Kishoreganj in 2011.
Additional District & Session judge of Kishoreganj, Shammi Hasina handed down the verdict.
The court also fines him tk.,50,000 in difault he will have to suffer six months more in jail.
The. convicted is Hossain Ali(35), a resident in Bahadia Modhyapara village of Pakundia upazila.
Public Prosecutor (PP) in Kishoreganj, Advocate Sanjoy Farouq confirmed the matter.
According to Prosecution, on January, 3, 2011, Hossian Ali strangled his wife Rahima Khatun to death due to family feud.
Later,Victim’s Rahima brother kurshid Alam filed a murder case with Pakundia Police Station in this connection. After investigation, police submitted a charge sheet against the accused to the court.
The court delivered the judgement after taking depositions of witness.
