Suspected in drug case escaped from Borguna Jail

The accused in drug case has escaped from Tultala Bus Station under Bamna upazila by throwing dust in the eyes of the police while being transported by BRTC Bus from Barguna district to Jessore correctional facility.
Drug case suspects Md Jani (14) and Md Mahmud Hasan (13) were transported from the Borguna District Jail accompanied by SI Mahbub Alam (unarmed), as well as by Constables Abu Naeem and Pranab from Borguna via BRTC Bus.
The passenger alighted from the Bus Stop known as Tultala under Bamna Upazila to transport the juvenile defendants to the detention facility.
As the passenger was exiting, the accused Md. Mahmud Hasan escaped by jumping from the window of the bus. As the two accused were juveniles, they did not have any handcuffs on their hands.
It is said that the accused managed to escape from the police. Eager public and Bamna police are on to catch the accused. Bamna Police Station Officer- in-Charge Mainul Islam said that they have come to know that the accused has escaped from the police on duty.
