Machinery of Ruppur Power Plant arrived
A commercial foreign ship named MV. Margaret carrying 482 metric tones electronic and other machinery goods for under construction Ruppur Atomic Power Plant arrived at Mongla Sea Port on Tuesday (July 11) afternoon and anchored with the Jetty No.08 of the Port. The ship is carrying the national flag of Russia. The unloading works of the machinery goods for Ruppur Atomic Power Plant was already started.
Sadhan Kumar Chakraborty, Manager of the local shipping agent named M/S, Conveyer Shipping of the foreign ship MV. Margaret told, some 482 point 662 metric tones of different electronic and other machinery goods for Ruppur Power Plant left the Sea Port Navorevienc of Russia on July 06 fro Mongla Sea Port and arrived directly at the Port (Mongla) on Tuesday (July 11) afternoon and anchored with the Jetty No. 08.. Those machinery goods are being unloaded from the ship and those are keeping in the shed of the jetty. After the completion of unloading the machinery goods will be sent to the Atomic Power Plant by roads.
Child died of dengue
A male child named Kaushik Nandi (4 .5 years old), son of one Samir Nandi of village Dhansagar under Sharankhola UIpazila in Bagerhat district died Dengue on Sunday morning, according to a report received here.
It is known from the relatives that the child was attacked with high fever at the night of Friday. In the following morning (Saturday) the child Kaushik was brought to a private nuesing home at Rayenda Bazar, Upazila headquarters of Sharinkhola where his blood was examined by Dr. Tawhidul Islam, Medical Officer of Sharankhola Upazila Health Complex and found the ill-fated child is carrying 98 thousand platelets that means the child was attacked with Dengue. Then the physician prescribed medicines for him and sent the child to his resident. But at the night the child’s condition became precarious. So, in the following morning the child was being taken to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital by an ambulance for better treatment. But when the child reached Bagerhat district Sadar Hospital Dr.Ziaul Adnan Rumel, Residential Medical Officer of the Hospital declared him dead. This is, perhaps, the first victim of Dengue in Bagerhat district.
Youth commits suicide
Naim Mridha (21), son of one Khalek Mridha of village Sonatala under Sharankhola Upazila in Bagerhat district (now living in Dubai) committed suicide in a rented house at Tafalbari Bazar (under Sharankhola Upazila) by hanging himself with a beam of his bed room in the early morning of Saturday. Being informed of the matter police rushed to the spot, recovered the dead body and sent the same to Bagerhat district Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
Sources added that neighbours that the deceased Naim Mridha was scheduled to go to abroad within months. Mmost o his friends have motor bikes. So, he requested his parents repeatedly to purchase a motor bike for him. But his parents did not fulfill his desire. As a result, he could not take it easily and, perhaps, Naim Mridha committed suicide after taking a pique at his parents.
Md. Ikram Hossain, Officer-in-charge of Sharankhola PS admitted the fact and told, the dead body of Naim Mridha was sent to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for autopsy. The Officer added, police are investigating into the matter in order to find out the reasons behind the suicide.
One killed in Morrelganj
One Modasser Ali Shaikh (60) of village Dumuria within Jewdhara Union under Morrelganj Upazila in Bagerhat who was an owner of fish farms was fatally injured and in the hands of his opponents died in Khulna Medical College Hospital at Saturday night while he was undergoing treatment. After the completion of legal proceedings the dead body of Modasser Ali was buried in his family graveyard in the village on Sunday noon, according a delayed report received here.
Police and the locals have informed that in a broad daylight on June 26 in the year 2022 his opponents attacked him on all a sudden, beat him mercilessly, and after breaking his hands and legs they left the place leaving him on a road side.
After the incident fatally injured Modasser Ali Shaikh was admitted to one hospital to another for his treatment and ultimately he died in Khuln Medical College Hospital at Saturday night. On June 27, 2022 his wife Mamotaz Begum lodged a case with Morrelganj PS accusing one Rasel Shaikh of the adjacent village Bhaijor and 6 others. Police investing into the matter and submitted a charge sheet to the court in time against all the accused persons. The case is now under trial in the court. It is stated in the death certificate issued by the Khulna Medical College authorities that Modasser Ali Shaikh died by hit-injures.
Md. Sayeedur Rahman, Officer-in-charge of Morrelganj PS told, I have already heard the death news of Modasser Ali Shaikh in Khulna Medcal College Hospital while he was undergoing treatment. The case in connection with the beating Modasser Ali Shaikh fatally is now under trial in the court. So, the action will be taken to the directions of the court.
