Traditional lathi khela held in Shahzadpur

A traditional lathi khela was held between Moshipur village and Batiar Para Pukur Par village of Shahzadpur upazila like every year on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
On July 4 Tuesday afternoon, Mashipur Ulka Jubo Sangho and Batiar Para Jagran Sangho organized the game. To the beat of Dhak-Dhol and Sanai, the dancers mesmerized the hundreds of spectators by performing stick dances and exercises.
The chief guest was Saiful Islam, the chairman of Garadaha Union. The special guest was Iqbal Hossain Nayan, general secretary of Gandah Union Awami League.
Also held are needle-yarn games for girls, rope games, balis games, cock-fighting for boys, biscuit race, patil breaking and magic games. At the end the prizes are distributed among the winners.
It should be noted that every year on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr and Eid-ul-Azha, the village organizes the folk culture traditional stick game of Bengal. In continuation of this, the game was held this year as well.
