Country’s biggest Eid Jamaat at Sholakia, 3- tier security measures

Country’s largest Eid Jamaat will be held at the historic Sholakia Eidgah ground in Kishoreganj town on the Eid day at 9am.
The district administration has taken 3 – tier security measures in the Town and its adjoining areas to ensure security for the Musullis so that they could perform their prayers amid pleasant atmosphere on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

The second largest religious festival of Muslims will be celebrated across the country on June 29.
Deputy Commissioner of Kishoreganj Md. Abul Kalam Azad on Monday afternoon inspected the Sholakia Eidgah ground ahead of the Eid – ul Azha.
The 195th Eid -ul -Azha prayers will be held at

9am and noted Islamic scholar former Director General of Islamic Foundation Mawlana Fariduddin Masud will lead the Eid Jamaat.
People will not be allowed to carry mobile phones and umbrellas on security grounds. Law enforcement agencies have taken security measures before and after the major religious festival of the Muslim respectively in Kishoreganj town and 13 upazilas headquarters of the district.
The decision was taken at the district review meeting of Law and Order at the Collectorate Conference Room with District Magistrate (DM) Md Abul Kalam Azad in the chair.
The meeting has also decided not to allow setting up of makeshift cattle markets except the approved place by then local administration. At least 106588 sacrificial animals as 5,000 farmers in the district are currently rearing animals for Eid – ul- Azha.

Police Super Mohammad Rasel Sheikh told the New Nation that a special security arrangement has been taken up in the town including eight municipalities and 13 upazila areas ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.
The police and RAB personnel will ensure security to all the buyers and sellers at the cattle markets.
Law enforcers along with plainclothes police have also been deployed in different areas too, he added.
