Bangladesh Football team want to come out from Lebanon nightmare. Bangladesh forced to their stronger opponents Lebanon to a goalless draw in the first half of the match, but later, they conceded two goals in the second half and finally tasted a 0-2 goals defeat to Lebanon in their first Group-B match of the SAFF Championship at Bengaluru in India on Thursday last. Bangladesh lost to Lebanon as they did some mistakes.
If Bangladesh want to reach the semi-final of the SAFF Championship, Bangladesh have to beat Maldives and Bhutan in their next two matches of Group-B. Bangladesh will take on Maldives in their second Group-B match on June 25. The match will kick-off at 4.00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time). The red-and-green outfit will face minnows Bhutan in their last Group-B match on June 28. The match will start at 8.00pm (Bangladesh Standard Time).
According to the latest FIFA ranking, Bangladesh have taken the 192nd position, while Maldives have taken the 154th position and Bhutan have taken the 185th position.
Members of Bangladesh Football team took part in the practice session under their Head Coach Javier Cabrera at Bengaluru in India on Friday.
After the practice, midfielder Sohel Rana of Bangladesh Football team said, ” We lost our first match. It was our first match in the tournament. Now we have to retain our discipline. I don’t blame anyone. We have given our attention to come out from our Lebanon nightmare and will try to bring a good result against Maldives.”
Sohel said, ” Our Head Coach said everything is going well and also positive. We have to bring a good result by retaining our confidence.”
Rana said, ” Every player wants to give their best in the field for his team. Everybody wants that his team can play well. Everybody tries to cooperate his team.”
” I shall try to work to give all sort of cooperation to my teammates in the next match. I shall try to do well. We have self confidence that we shall bring a good result against Maldives. Our teammates are confident that they will earn win against Maldives,” he added.
