Readers’ Voice
To the government
of India
Oh, poor Bangladesh, we never imagined that after fifty one years of independence which we received by the supreme sacrifice of our valiant freedom fighters, we will have to witness this horrible situation.
India helped us in the liberation war, we are grateful for it but it is clear that they helped not out of humanities sake, it had its own agenda and we are paying dearly for the last five decades. To keep Sheikh Hasina as the Prime Minister they will go to any length, in the last two general elections with their shrewd policy India achieved their goal. But is not it amazing that elections in India are held without any rigging?
We urge India to refrain from influencing our election, people of our country and the world will not tolerate it.

Ensure women’s
safety
In our patriarchal society, women are constantly being harassed in one way or another. They are at risk of child marriage. On the other hand, they are being sexually harassed. They are being harassed everywhere from roads to public transport, educational institutions, employment, bus terminals and train stations. When we open TV channels, or read newspapers and visit social media, it is seen that every day girls are being victims of rape. As a result, they along with their family suffer from uncertainty about the girl’s safety.
Most of the women in our society still depend on men. As a result, the country’s GDP is being hampered. No nation can achieve real development depriving their women of education and employment. So men and women must work together and for that, women need social and state security.
