Artisan Ceramics wins world market with its quality: M. Mamunur Rashid

M. Mamunur Rashid talked with The New Nation on the issues concering problems and potentials of Ceramic Industries in the country.
Artisan Ceramics has won national export trophy in 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020 successively.
The CEO said that ceramic industries of Bangladesh has already attained its goodwill through producing and exporting standard quality tableware across the world.
He said that the market of the tableware sector especially the ceramics industries are being expanded across the globe day by day.
There is a wide range scope of earning billions of US dollars through exporting ceramics tableware. There are potentials of dominating foreign tableware markets through innovative designs. “There are widespread opportunities of dominating the world’s tableware markets with innovative designed,” the CEO said.
“In these visions, the mission of the Artisan Ceramics’ is to bring exceptional and artistic designed tableware to provide our clients in different countries with their desired ones.” “We are promised to provide all new and latest designed ceramic products to our customers,” M Mamunur Rashid said while talking with The New Nation. “At first, the Artisan Ceramics Limited has assured its buyers, especially the foreign customers that the company has all the facilities meant for compliances,” the CEO said.
The ceramic products are getting produced in a safe environment. The company is ensuring safety environment of work at its every stage.
The Artisan Ceramics Ltd established in 2005 has been producing standard class products with high quality porcelains.
Remembering the starting of the company, Mamunur Rashid said that the ceramic plants of his company has been established within nine months only which was a record low time. Besides, the plant has started productions within six months after its establishment with high quality tableware and achieved popularity among the customers shortly after arriving in markets.
Producing items as per the choices of the customers is the lone target of the managing authority of the company. The designers of the Artisan Ceramics are working to produce items as per the demands and trends of the world market with reasonable lower prices. M. Mamunur Rashid said that the Artisan Ceramics have outlined the importance to maintain the healthier and hygienic working environment seriously.
It also gives attention to bring variation in the tableware, with maintaining standard and quality at every stages of the production. It is also keen on keeping social responsibilities upholding.
As a result, Mamunur Rashid said, their products get huge attention and popularity among the customers across the globe.
“Artisan Ceramics tableware is now adding beauty to the Britain’s Royal Palace as its daily usable item. It is a matter of dignity for Bangladesh,” said Mamunur Rashid. Besides, Indian Army and Indian presidential house also use Artisan Ceramic’s tableware. Mamunur Rashid said that Artisan Ceramics is exporting tableware to the USA, UK, Italy, France, Germany, Sweden, Norway,Denmark, Spain, Cyprus, Greece, Netherlands, Brazil, Chili, Peru, Columbia, Argentina, Mexico, Malaysia, Australia, India and several other countries regularly as a huge demand for the products has been created there. Besides, there are enormous demands of its products in the domestic market also. About 100 registered dealers are working to sell and marketing Artisans items recurrently. The supplying of the products to the retail level is continuing.
Mamunur Rashid said that Artisan started its business first under the charismatic leadership of its Chairman Nader Khan and Managing Director A.Q.I. Chowdhury Obiy. He said there are about one thousand employees are working in Artisan Ceramics.
The CEO said that interrupted gas supplying is the major problem of the ceramic sector. “We need uninterrupted gas supply so that we can produce the items as per the markets demand,” he said.
“If the government give us uninterrupted gas supply then the ceramic industries can export enormous amount of tableware abroad,” he said.
Besides, the ceramic industries need a specialised economic zone for further growing.
He said, “If the government come forward to fulfill those demands, the ceramic industries would be a vital export oriented sector to make a huge contribution to our economy.”
Replying to a query, Mamunur Rashid said about five lakh employees are now working in ceramic sector in the country while the demand of skilled manpower are always in the sector.
