BPC holds seminar in C’nawabganj

Chairman of Bangladesh Press Council (BPC) Justice Md. Nizamul Hoque Nasim today said, Bangladesh is the first country in Asia to form Press Council Act.
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman made this Act in 1974 in order to unite the journalists so that they can work for the welfare of the people, he added.
He also asked the journalists to bring back their expected dignity and honor through their own deeds.
He was speaking as chief guest in a seminar and views exchanging meeting with the journalists on ‘Press Council Act 1974, code of conduct and Right to Information Act 2009.’
