Borhanuddin (Bhola) Correspondent :
Ali Azam Mukul MP of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has commented that the Julio Curie Peace Medal brought Bangabandhu the status of World Friend.
He said that the Bengali nation was proud to receive this medal, and the world was also proud to honor a personality like Bangabandhu.
He made this comment in the speech of the chief guest at the discussion meeting organized on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Bangabandhu’s Julio Kuri Peace Medal at the Upazila Executive Officer’s conference room on Sunday. Borhanuddin Upajena administration organized the discussion. Upazila Chairman Abul Kalam Azad was the special guest.
MP Mukul also said that the Julio Curie award is very prestigious in establishing peace. This can be understood by looking at who has received this award. Leaders like Fidel Castro, Pablo Neruda, Nelson Mandela have received this award. We have forgotten such a great honor or recognition of Bangabandhu. The new generation does not know what the Julio Curie medal is. It is the responsibility of researchers and writers to bring the significance of this medal to the people.
