‘Zia hatched conspiracies to eliminate Awami League’

Awami League (AL) Organizing Secretary Mirza Azam said BNP founder military dictator Ziaur Rahman had hatched conspiracies to eliminate Awami League.
“Awami League leaders and activists couldn’t stay at home when BNP was in state power,” he said this recently while speaking at a peace rally as the chief guest in the city’s Jatrabari area.
Dhaka City South Unit of Jubo League organized the rally. Mirza Azam said Ziaur Rahman was one of major planners of the assassination of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

During the BNP-Jamaat regime from 2001-2006, AL’s many leaders and workers, including Ahsanullah Master and Shah AMS Kibria were killed brutally, reports BSS.
