Ongoing SSC exams marked by high number of absent examinees

The ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations are being marked with a high number of absent examinees regularly.
A total of 18,606 students were marked absent across the nine education boards in the English (Compulsory) second paper held on Sunday, Education Ministry’s control room in a statement said.
Apart from this, the authority concerned of the exam centres expelled a total of 94 examinees for adopting unfair means in different education boards.
Mymensingh Board had the highest number of examinees expelled, which were 32. In comparison, Dhaka had 17, Barishal 16, Cumilla 14, Dinajpur 12, and Sylhet had one.
The Dhaka Board recorded the highest number of absentees, with 4,850 examinees absent out to the total 398,304 examinees.
The Cumilla Board marked 2,342 absentees, Dinajpur Board with 2,144, Jashore Board 2,029, Chattogram Board 1,958, Rajshahi Board 1,828, Barishal Board 1,093, Sylhet Board 1,150 and Mymensingh Board with 1,112 absentees.
