IM Fahad beats his Turkey rival in 3rd round

BSS, Dhaka :
International Master (IM) Mohammad Fahad Rahman (Raing-2396) won against 2594 rated Grand Master (GM) Can Emre of Turkey in the 3rd round of II Open Int’l Chess Menorca Group A now being held in Menorca, Spain.
The 3rd round game was held on last Wednesday evening with IM Fahad playing with black pieces and beating GM Can Emre. Earlier, the 2nd round games were held on the same day as IM Fahad won against Gonzalez Gongzlez Asier of Spain. IM Fahad earned 2.5 points out of the games and shared 2nd position in the points table along with 25 other players.
A total of 200 players from 39 countries including 35 Grand Masters, 4 Women Grand Masters, 30 International Masters and 6 Women International Masters are participating in the event.
