Prothom Alo reporter Shamsuzzaman gets bail in another DSA case

Prothom Alo reporter Shamsuzzaman yesterday secured bail in another case filed under the Digital Security Act (DSA) with the capital’s Tejgaon Model Police Station.
Metropolitan Magistrate Mohammad Sheikh Sadi of Dhaka CMM Court granted the bail till the next fixed date for hearing in the case after the journalist surrendered in the court on Sunday. Shamsuzzaman’s lawyer Prashant Kumar Karmkar confirmed the matter to media.
Earlier on March 29, Syed Md Golam Kibria, a Jubo League leader filed the DSA case with Tejgaon Model Police Station of the capital. On April 3, a Dhaka court granted bail to Shams in another case filed under the DSA over the same news report.
