Prisoner dies in Kishoreganj jail

A prisoner died of cardiac arrest named Alek Chan (65) died in Kishoreganj district Jail on Sunday midnight.
The deceased Alek Chan (65)is a resident of Bhairab upazila in Kishoreganj.
Jail Superintendent (JS) in Kishoreganj District Jail, Shamim Iqbal says, Prisoner Alek Chan was suffering from respiratory diseases including heart disease for the last 7-8 years.
After treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, he was sent to Kishoreganj District Jail on Saturday.
The Jail Super also said that he was sent to Kishoreganj General Hospital when he fell ill again on Sunday night around 11 pm, he died while undergoing treatment there around 1:30 am.
The family has already been informed. All measures are being taken as per jail rules .
