Workshop on child marriage prevention held

The orientation programme on gender equality, child rights, child protection nd prevention of child marriage rules was held in Rangpur.
Rangpur District Commissioner Dr. Chitralekha Nazneen was the chief guest at the workshop organized by the Department of Women
Affairs under the Combating Early Marriage in Bangladesh Project at District Administration office in collaboration with Plan International. Rangpur District Women Affairs Deputy Director Kaushar Parveen
presided over the orientation and spoke in the orientation. Press Club President Mahbub Rahman, Vice- President Abdur Rahman Mintu and senior journalist, Md Zainal Abedin were among the speakers.
 25 journalists from electronic and print media of Rangpur were present at this time.
