Bangabandhu’s 103rd birth anniversary observed

The 103 death anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was observed in different districts of the country with due respect on Friday.
Our Gazipur Correspondent adds: Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) observed the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day-2023 on Friday with profound respect and various programmes.
The day’s programme included hoisting of the national flag and awarding the Guard of Honor, laying wreath at the mural of Bangabandhu, flying balloons, joyous rally, cutting cake, drawing and Bangabandhu’s life-based speech competition, special prayers and illumination.
Then BARI Director General Dr. Debasish Sarker with other directors laid wreaths at the portrait of the Father of the Nation Bangbandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The Director General then inaugurated the day’s program by flying balloons in front of BARI head office.
Director (Support & Services) Dr. Ferdouse Islam, Director (Research) Dr. Md. Abdullah Yousuf Akhond, Director (Planning & Evaluation) Dr. Dilwar Ahmed Choudhury, Director (Training & Communication) Dr. Md. Ayub Hossain, Director (Oilseed Research) Dr. Md.Tariqul Islam, Director (Horticulture) Dr. Gobinda Chandra Biswas, Leaders of the BARI Scientists Association (BARISA), Bangabandhu Krishibid Porishad, Diploma Krishibid Institution BARI Branch, BARI Employees Welfare Society (BARIKA), BARI Fourth Class Employees Association (BARICHA), BARI Workers Association, were, among others, present on the occasion. Besides, scientists, officials, employees, teachers, workers and students of all levels of the institute were also present at the occasion.
Madhukhali (Faridpur) Correspondent adds, On the occasion of the 103rd birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, on Friday organised by the upazila administration in Madhukhali of Faridpur. Madhukhali Police Station, Upazila Awami League, Mahila AwamiLeague, Chhatra League, Upazila Health Complex, Palli Bidyut Madhukhali Zonal Office, Government ainudden College and Madhukhali Pilot High School along with Various social organizations offered floral tributes. Later, a rally was brought out from the Bangabandhu Mural Square and ended after circling the railway gate area of the Dhaka-Khulna highway of Upazila Sadar.
 Tarash(Sirajganj) Correspondent adds: Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s 103rd birthday and National Children’s Day 2023 was celebrated in Tarash, Sirajganj, yesterday. In the morning of March 17, on the occasion of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s 103rd birthday and National Children’s Day 2023, the upazila administration organized hoisting of the national flag, wreath laying at Bangabandhu’s mural and a discussion meeting. Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mezbaul Karim presided over this event. In this event was present as the chief guest 64 Sirajganj 3 Tarash-Rayganj and Salanga Constituency Member of Parliament Dr. Md. Abdul Aziz. At that time, were present as special guests Upazila Parishad Chairman Principal Alhaj¦ Moniruzzaman Moni, Vice Chairman Anwar Hossain Khan, Lecturer Morjina Islam, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Noor Tasmin Urmi, Upazila Awami League General Secretary Mr. Sanjit Kumar Karmakar, nation’s best freedom fighter SM Abdur Razzak, Saidur Rahman Saju, Abdus Sobahan, Upazila Women Awami League President Manowara Khatun Mini, Joint General Secretary Hosneara Nasreen Dolan, Sadar UP Chairman Babul Sheikh and many others.
Bagura Correspondent adds: District administration took out various programmes, including hoisting of the national flag, discussion and placing a wreath at the mural of Bangabandhu.
In observance of the day, parliament member from Bogura-6 constituency and District Awami League General Secretary Ragebul Ahsan Ripu, District Commissioner (DC) Md. Saiful Islam, District Awami League President Mojibur Rahman Majnu, Deputy Director (Deputy Secretary) of Local Government Department Masum Ali Beg, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Ujjal Kumar Ghosh, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Nilufa Yasmin, freedom fighters, among others, placed floral wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu in the District Commissioner’s office this morning.
District Awami league, educational institutions and other organizations, government and non government offices, and social and cultural bodies placed floral wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu one after one.
