Police have recovered the bodies of two newborns from the roadside at Jagatshah intersection in Karimganj upazila of Kishorganj and the body of a woman from the side of the corn field in Sindrip area of Noabad union of Karimganj upazila on Wednesday early hour.
The Officer-in-Charge (OC) in Karimganj, Shamchul Alam Siddiqui confirmed the matter.
OC also said, the identity of the two newborn’s has not been found yet. However, the bodies were recovered in the morning by Halima Akhtar, wife of Aftab Hossain of that area. All the three bodies have been sent to Kishoreganj General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Quoting the locals, the police said that in the morning, the locals informed the police after seeing the dead body of an elderly woman next to the corn field in Sindrip area of Noabad Union of the upazila.
Later the police went and recovered the body. On the other hand, in the afternoon, the locals informed the police after seeing the bodies of two newborns wrapped in bags on the side of the paved road at Jagatshah junction of Jafrabad Union of the upazila. Later, the police went and recovered the bodies.
Additional SP (Crime & Ops) Mohammad Nure Alam told the New Nation that the process of taking necessary legal action is underway in these two incidents.
