The admission test for the MBBS course in country’s medical colleges for the academic year 2022-23 was held from 10 am to 11 am on Friday.
A total of 1,39,217 students applied to sit in the exam, against 4,350 seats available in 37 different public Medical Colleges. Apart from this, a total of 6,772 seats are available in 71 different private Medical Colleges. The examination was held simultaneously at 57 venues in 19 centres of the country including five in the capital.
“The examination was held peacefully without any unprecedented incident, “Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque said this after visiting the Arts Faculty examination centre of Dhaka University. Addressing safety measures, he said, “We always took this test very carefully. We also used digitally track cars with question paper by utilizing sophisticated technology. Sitting in the office, one can see where the car is going, where it is stopping and where it is starting again.”
