29,000 Bhola farmers to get incentive for Aush farming

A total of 29,000 small and marginal farmers will get seed and fertilizer as incentive for the cultivation of Aush paddy in the current season in all seven upazilas of the district.
To increase the interest of farmers in Aush cultivation, the amount of incentive support and the number of farmers have been increased significantly in the current financial year 2022-23 in the district.
Under the programme, the target of Aush cultivation was fixed on 69,100 hectares of land, Hasan Waresul Kabir, Deputy Director of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) of the district, told BSS.
Among the beneficiary farmers, 6,000 are in Sadar upazila, 4,500 in Daulatkhan upazila, 3,200 in Borhanuddin upazila, 3,000 in Lalmohan upazila, 1,500 in Tajumuddin upazila, 10,000 in Charfashion upazila and 8,00 in Manpura upazila will get the incentive of the district, according to the Agriculture Office of the district.
