National Voters’ Day observed in dists

A rally and discussion meeting was organized in Rangpur to celebrate the National Voters’ Day on Thursday. Md. Sabirul Islam, Divisional Commissioner of Rangpur Division, inaugurated the National Voter’s Day by blowing balloons in the premises of the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
Later a discussion meeting was held in the Town Hall Auditorium. Under the chairmanship of Regional Election Officer GM Shahtab Uddin, DI Muhammad Abdul Alim Mahmud, Metro Police Commissioner Nur Alam Mina, Deputy Commissioner Dr. were as special guests. Chitralekha Nazneen, Superintendent of Police Md. Ferdous Ali Chowdhury. Press club president Mahbub Rahman Habu, Awami League leader Rozi Rahman and others spoke in it. Leaders of various political parties of the Election Commission were present at the time
Sr. Staff Reporter. ,Kishoreganj reports : The Election Commission (EC) including District Administration in Kishoreganj have arranged a colour full rally, discussion marking the fifth National Voters’ Day Thursday.
A discussion meeting was held at Collectorate Conference Room on Thursday morning.
DC in Kishoreganj Mohammad Abul Kalam Azad and Police Super ( SP) Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PPM, (Bar) were attended as chief and Special guest guest while. District Election Officer (DEO) Ashraful Alam presided over the programme.
It was addressed among others by ADC (General) & Deputy Secretary (DS) Md. Golam Mostafa , ADM Farhad Chowdhury, Sadar UNO Mohammad Ali Siddique , Senior Assistant Commissioner & Executive Magistrate Babul Chandra Sutradhar, Senior Medical Officer of Civil Surgeon Office dr.Mahabubur Rahman and Mohila Awami League District Secretary Bilkis Begum. Later, a colour full rally brought out in the town marking the Day.
Shahzadpur (Sirajganj) Correspondent adds: Shahzadpur Upazila Administration and Election Office brought out a colorful rally on the occasion of National Voters’ Day under the chairmanship of UNO Sadia Afrin on Thursday with the theme of ‘voter will follow the rules, vote for the worthy’.
At the end of the rally, a discussion meeting was held in the Upazila Parishad Hall Room. Sirajganj-6 (Shahzadpur’s ) Member of Parliament Professor Marina Jahan Kavita spoke as the chief guest. Upazila Parishad Chairman Vir Muktijoddha Professor Azad Rahman, Upazila A-League Joint General Secretary Mustaq Ahmed and others spoke as special guests. Upazila Election Officer Md. Jahangir Hossain conducted the program.
