Eden College student beaten up brutally by BCL leader

DU Correspondent :
A female student of Eden Mohila College was allegedly beaten up brutally on Wednesday evening by a female Bangladesh Chattra League (BCL) leader of that college unit with a stump for protesting her misbehaviour.
A finger of the victim’s hand has also been broken in the torture.
The incident took place in room number 506 of Bangmata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall of the college.
The victim, a third year student of the Political Science Department, however logged a written complaint to the Hall superintendent.
After beating the girl, the accused Nuzhat Faria Roksana, Vice-president of BCL Eden College unit said that she (the victim) is my lovely younger sister.
Roksana is also known as the ‘right hand man’ of BCL Eden College unit
President Tamanna Jasmine Riva. Earlier, Roksana had also been accused of beating another college leader and torturing students. The news about this has been published in the media.
The victim said, “Roksana traded seats in the Hall. She keeps 20 girls in one room, abuses the female students with slang and forces the girls to do of her personal work.”
“When I protested this, she beat me brutally,” she added.
However, Roksana denied the allegations of beating and “She is my lovely younger sister. She was not beaten. There has been an altercation. It is normal to have a little altercation when we live together. The allegation of beating is completely false.”
“They involved in a quarrel each other and beat one another. We called them and solved the matter,” Nazneen Nahar, Superientendent of the Bangmata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall.
Now the two students are staying in their respective room, she added.
Asking about the complaint, she said, “We received a written complaint but the student has not mentioned any accused name in the complaint. Now, I am going outside Dhaka. We will discussed about this in a meeting on Friday.”
