Workshop on cervical cancer held at Kapasia

Cervical cancer diagnosis and treatment workshop was held at Shanti Cancer Foundation in Kanshera village of Tok Upazila on Friday. From morning to afternoon, about two hundred women were screened for cervical cancer free of charge and various counseling was provided.
Simeen Hussain Rimi, Member of Parliament of Gazipur-4 Constituency and Presidium member of Awami League was present as the chief guest in the workshop. The workshop was presided over by the General Secretary of Shanti Cancer Foundation, the head of Department, medical oncologist and professor of National Cancer Research Institute Parveen Shahida Akhtar.
