‘Sports maintain physical mental health, prevent social degradation’

Mymensingh City Corporation (MCC) Mayor Md Ekramul Haque Titu said that sports keep physical and mental health, prevent social degradation. Sports are very important in the proper growth and development of the next generation.
The mayor said this in the speech of the chief guest at the Sheikh Kamal Inter-School and Madrasa Athletics Competition-2023 organized by Mymensingh City Corporation at Sakit House Gymnasium ground on Tuesday. He also said that under the leadership of the honorable Prime Minister, the country has advanced in the indicators of women empowerment, improvement of standards of sports, development of education and health etc. Bangladesh is doing well District Awami League Mymensingh branch president Ehteshamul Alam inaugurated the event.
Mymensingh City Corporation Standing Committee on Sports and Culture Chairman Md. Farhad Alam presided over this event. Chief Executive Officer of MCC Md. Yusuf Ali, Vice President of Mymensingh District Sports Association Md. Sajjad Jahan Chowdhury Shaheen, Ward No. 03 Councilor Md. Shariful Islam spoke in the event.
