Netrakona journo’s mother dies

Amena Islam, the mother of Muklesur Rahman Khan, General Secretary of Netrakona District Press Club, died of old age complications at her Muktarpara residence here in last night. Family sources said, she was 105. She left behind one son and two daughters and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn her death.
The namaz-e- janaza of the deceased was held at Kailati Kamil Madrasha in Barhattauapazila of the district. at 3pm today.
Later, she was laid to eternal rest at her family graveyard at villageKailati in the Barhattaupazila.
Meanwhile, state minister for social welfare Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru, Asim Kumar Ukil MP, Habiba Rahman Khan Shefali MP, deputy commissioner Netrakona Anjana Khan Mojlish, police super Foaz Ahmed, president of Awami League (AL) Netrakona district unit Advocate Amirul Islam, general secretaryof AL Netrakona district unit Advocate Shamsur Rahman Liton and leaders of Netrakona district press club and Sangbadiksamity including Haider Jahan Chowdhoy, Shamolendu Paul, M Faqrul Haque and Delwar Khan issued separate condolence massages expressing their deep shock at the death of Amena Islam.
They also conveyed their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family members and prayed seeking divine blessings for peace and salvation of the departed soul of Amena Islam.
