Life-term fugitive held in Dhaka

Police arrested a fugitive, who was awarded life term imprisonment by a Gopalganj court in 2020 in a rape case filed in 2016, from Kalabagan in the capital last night. The detainee was identified as Abdullah Al Mamun, 50, hailed from Kashiani upazila in the district.
Officer-in-Charge of Kashiani Thana Mohammad Firoz Alam said Mamun was arrested by Kashiani Thana police at around 1:30 am last night in Kalabagan area. Mamun was produced before a Gopalganj court on Thursday.
