BNP announces 4-day march prog in capital

The Bangladesh Nationalist Party announced to hold a four-day march programme in Dhaka to press home their 10-point demands.
The march programme will start on January 28 and end on February 1.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir announced the fresh programme for Dhaka at a press conference on Thursday at the party’s Naya Paltan central office in the capital.
The party’s 10-point demands include holding the next general elections under a non-party caretaker government.
Mirza Fakhrul said that the leaders and activists of their party’s Dhaka north and south city units would observe the march programme on January 28, 30 and 31 and February 1 respectively.
As per the party’s plan, Dhaka North City unit
 BNP will march from Shahjadpur to Malibagh Abul Hotel intersection on January 28 and from Gabtoli to Mirpur 10 intersection on January 31.
Meanwhile, Dhaka South City unit BNP will observe march programme from Jatrabari to Shyampur on January 30 and from Mugda to Malibagh on February 1.
The BNP Secretary General hoped that their march programme would be held in a peaceful manner with the spontaneous participation of people from all walks of life.
Replying to a query from journalists, Mirza Fakhrul said that the leaders and activists of other likeminded political parties can participate the march programme if they want.
He said that the BNP would discuss the matter with other parties soon.
