Two policemen held with Phensedyl in Lalmonirhat

Lalmonirhat Narcotics Control Department arrested two policemen with 77 bottles of Phensedyl in Lalmonirha recently.
They were arrested along with 77 bottles of phensidyl and a private car from the area adjacent to Tiktiki Bazar on Kulaghat Barabari Road of Sadar Upazila .
The arrested are Mehedi Hasan (34) son of deceased Shah Alam of Masterpara area of Rangpur city and Harunur Rashid (26) son of Golam Hafiz of Kholapara area of Panchagarh Sadar upazila. Among them, Mehdi Hasan (BP-9716184121) is working in Rajarbagh Police Lines and Harunur Rashid (BP-9516190981) is reported to be working in Rangpur District Police. Meanwhile, for unknown reasons, the matter was kept secret during the day, but it came to light at night.
Lalmonirhat Narcotics Control Department Inspector Helal Uddin said that the operation was conducted in the area on Friday morning based on secret information. At that time, a private car going to Barabari was stopped and searched suspiciously in the area adjacent to the lizard market and 77 bottles of Phencidil were seized. One person in the car escaped, but two people named Mehidi Hasan and Harunur Rashid were arrested. Later their identity is known.
