Govt works to build ‘Smart Bangladesh’: Shahab Uddin

Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md Shahab Uddin on Friday said the present government is working relentlessly to build ‘Smart Bangladesh’.
“By 2041, Bangladesh will become a developed country under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. To realise the dream of building Smart Bangladesh, everyone must be united in support of this pro-independence government,” he said.
The environment minister was addressing a function at Juri Upazila Parishad auditorium in Moulvibazar. The function was arranged to distribute blankets among the cold-affected people, a ministry press release said.
Chairman of Juri Upazila Parishad Bir Muktijoddha MA Moeed Farooq, Upazila Vice-Chairman Rinku Ranjan Das and acting President of Upazila Awami League Masuk Miah spoke at the meeting with Juri Upazila Nirbahi Officer Ranjan Chandra Dey in the chair. Later, Shahab Uddin laid the foundation stones of some development projects in Barlekha upazila of the district.
