Three daylong fair begins in Kapasia

A three-day fair was organized by Bangladesh Bandhu Foundation at Kapasia, Gazipur on Monday with the aim of protecting the environment, mitigating and adapting to climate change, empowering women and underprivileged people and building human values. Simeen Hussain Rimi, President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Culture and Local Member of Parliament, inaugurated the fair virtually in front of the house of the late Khaled Khorram of Upazila Sadar as the chief guest. Vice President of Bangladesh Bandhu Foundation Dr. Upazila Executive Officer AKM Golam Morshed Khan, Acting President of Upazila Awami League Advocate Mazharul Islam Salim, General Secretary Md. Mizanur Rahman Pradhan, Sadar Union Awami League President Abdul Halim Khokon, Upazila Jubo League President and Sadar UP Chairman among others spoke at the opening discussion meeting of the fair under the chairmanship of Engineer Khalekuzzaman. Publication of book ‘Prashantir Assadan’ held

The cover unveiling and publication ceremony of the poetry book titled ‘Prashantir Assadan’ by poet Md. Aminul Islam’s has been completed. The unveiling and publication festival was held at Central Muslim Shahitto Sangshed, Sylhet recently. Autobiographical poet Kalam Azad, former principal of Fenchuganj Degree College, was the chief guest at the unveiling and publication festival organized by Creative Publishing Company Papdi. Poet and columnist Saleh Ahmad Khosru presided the programme.
children’s writer Kamrul Alam and Naeemul Islam Gulzar jointly conducted the programme, senior journalist Aftab Chowdhury, vice president of the Central Muslim Shahitto Sangshed, Dewan AH Mahmud Raja Chowdhury, fiction writer Salim Awal and poet Suman Banik gave a special guest speech at the unveiling and publication festival. Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank and president of literary organization Cyclone Javed Ahmad, eminent writer Moaz Afsar, Chairman of Sylhet Ideal School and College Nurur Rahman, younger brother of the writer Advocate Saiful Islam, novelist Aleya Rahman, poet Mahfuz Zoha, journalist MA Wahid Chowdhury, spoke among others. Rotarian Kamruzzaman Masum, storyteller Taslima Khanam Beethi. Besides, Rotarian Tanya Sultana, Bangladesh Bank Joint Director Mohammad Ali Akhtar, Advocate Qutb Uddin Mahbub, Advocate Abdullah Al Mahbub, Organizer Md Abu Saeed, Mamun Hossain, Poet Dewan Gazi Abdul Quddus Shamshad, Syed Muntazim Ali Bakhtiar, Mazharul Islam Menon, Sajjad Ahmad Saju, Zubair Nabil, Parvez Hussain Talukder also spoke the programme.
