Fifth grader was killed after rape in Patuakhali

A student of fifth grader was killed after being raped at Rangabali upazila in Patuakhali. Later, the girl’s body was thrown in the Buragaurang River to disappear.
This sensational information came out after the arrest of the accused auto-driver Al-Amin Howladar (35) on Sunday. The arrested Al-Amin is the son of one Ismail Hawladar of Charanda village under Charmontaz Union.
On Monday the police cast a net in the river to recover the dead body of the girl.
According to the police, last Friday evening, the girl went to Charanda market from her home to recharge her mobile phone. Auto-driver Al-Amin met her on her way home from the market.
At that time, Al-Amin called her and took her near a ‘beel’ and raped her. Later, accused Al-Amin strangled the girl and dumped the body in the river.
The mother of the victim girl said, what was wrong with my innocent child. I demand exemplary punishment of Al-Amin.
Abu Talib Mridha, the father of the victim said, “My daughter was a fifth grader student. Why was my daughter killed in such a painful way? I demand Al-Amin’s hanging.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Rangabali Police Station Nurul Islam Majumder said that efforts are on to recover the body of the victim child from the river. Accused Al-Amin will be placed before the court.
