Arrest of councilor of Ishwardi Municipality protested

The municipal council has condemned and protested against the filing of a false case and arrest against the councilor Kamal Uddin of Ward No. 1 of Ishwardi Municipality. Kamal Uddin claimed to be a victim of conspiracy in a written statement in the municipal conference room on Monday afternoon. Panel mayor Abul Hashem read the written statement on behalf of the council.
The killing of Mamun Hossain in Karaitla on January 4 was strongly condemned and it was said that the incident took place in Ward No. 2. However, on the night of the incident, Kamal Uddin, the councilor of Ward No. 1, was arrested by the law and order forces from his house. Later, he was named as an accused in the case filed at the police station. Abul Hashem complained that the councilor Kamal was not present at the time of the murder, and the councilor was framed in the murder case on purpose. On behalf of the municipal council, the mystery of the murder was revealed, the real culprits were brought under the law, punishment was demanded and the release of Kamal Uddin was demanded.
Municipal Mayor Isaac Ali Malitha said, Councilor Kamal is a victim of conspiracy. He was not present at the time of the murder. He demanded to reveal the mystery of the murder and bring the real culprits under the law.
