Chinese company to make high-end garments at Bepza Economic Zone: Chinese company SSH (BD) Sustainable Fashion Co Ltd is going to invest $24.05 million to set up a high-end garments industry in Bepza Economic Zone. The company will annually produce 36 million pieces of different types of high-end garment products, including jackets, blazers, coats, suits, pants, trousers, jeans, shirts, shorts, cargo long, underwear, jersey, t-shirt, knit-bottom, baby bumper, swimsuit, sheath dress, hoodie and uniform. Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) signed an agreement with the company to this effect at Bepza Complex in Dhaka on Wednesday. This investment will create employment opportunities for 2,062 Bangladeshi nationals, Bepza said in a press release.
