Miraz believes Barishal to be champs in BPL Cricket

All-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz believes Fortune Barishal will be the champions in this year’s Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket.
Marking the upcoming ninth edition of BPL Cricket, Fortune Barishal took part in their practice session at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the city’s Mirpur on Monday.
Captain of Fortune Barishal Shakib Al Hasan did not take part in the practice session in Mirpur yesterday.
Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Mahmudullah Riyad and the other local cricketers of Fortune Barishal participated in the training programme at the ‘ Home of Cricket.’
After the practice, Mehidy Hasan Miraz spoke to the journalists on Monday. He is little bit frustrated as Fortune Barishal failed to clinch the title of BPL Cricket in the previous editions.
Miraz wants to finish the drought of Barishal’s winning the title of BPL Cricket.
He said, ” The members of team management of Fortune Barishal have formed a good team. Shakib Bhai, Riyad Bhai, Ebadot Hossain, Khaled Ahmed, Anamul Haque Bijoy will play for Fortune Barishal in the ensuing BPL Cricket. We are optimistic that we shall be the champions in this year’s BPL Cricket. I am going to play for Barishal for sixth times. We played in the final twice. But we could not taste the winning of title. I hope we will be the champions in this year’s meet.”
Miraz played as an opener in the domestic cricket competitions including BPL Cricket. Even he opened for Bangladesh Cricket team in the recently concluded matches of the Asia Cup.
When asked if he will open in the BPL Cricket, Miraz replied that everything depended on the decision of the team management.
The ace all-rounder said, ” The team management of Fortune Barishal will take the decision in which position he will bat. I want to bat in the top-order position. I am waiting for the decision of team management.”
