Nat’l Textbook distribution Festival held in districts

About 51 lakh books are being distributed to 4 lakh students in Rangpur on Sunday. Additional Divisional Commissioner Abu Zafar and District Deputy Commissioner Dr. Chitralekha Nazneen handed over books to students at Rangpur District School.
Despite the cold and fog in Konkan, these young students did not stop. On the first day of the new year, new books are being handed over to the students in 8 districts of the division including Rangpur. In a festive atmosphere, books were distributed to different schools on the first day of the year. In the morning, teachers hand over free new textbooks to the students in every educational institution of the district. At this time, the students are also happy to receive the new books.
The students are very happy to get the new book. Also, the non-believers are also happy with their happiness. They congratulated the Honorable Prime Minister. On the other hand, it will be another mailplate in the history of the various steps taken by the government in the construction of Sonar Bangla, says Additional Divisional Commissioner (General) Md. Sr.Staff Reporter, Kishoreganj reports: The National Textbook Festival marking the distribution of free text books among the primary, high school, vocational and madrasa students celebrated in eight municipalties and 13 upazilas was held in Kishoreganj.
District Education Office including District Administration arranged a textbooks distribution festival at SV Govt. Girls School Auditorium on Saturday. DC in Kishoreganj Md. Abul Kalam Azad has formally inaugurated the National Textbook Festival as Chief Guest and Police Super( SP) Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PPM (Bar) as special guest while District Education Officer (DEO) Shamsunnahar Maksudha presided over. It was addressed among others by Mayor Pervez Miah, ADC (Edu.&Ict) Farzana Khanam, DPEO Subrata Kumar Bonik , Govt. Boys School Headmaster Md. Abdullah and S.V Govt.Girls School Shahanawaze KaFinance) .
At least 30 lakhs free textbooks were distributed among 4.50 lakhs students of the primary, high school, students in Kishoreganj district. Kishoreganj Police Lines School arranged the free book distribution programme at its play ground. Police Super ( SP) Mohammad Rasel Sheikh PMM (Bar) attended as Chief Guest while School Headmaster Shafiqul Islam presided over. Additional S.P (Admin& Finance) Mustaque Sarker, attended as special guest.
Ishwardi (Pabna) Correspondent says: On the first day of the year, students of class III and IV in Ishwardi did not get new books. Upazila Secondary and Primary Education Office confirmed the matter. In the meantime, book festival was inaugurated at Government SM High School and College in Ishwardi on Sunday.
The chief guest at the book festival was Pabna-4 Constituency MP Alhaj Nuruzzaman Biswas. UNO and Managing Committee President PM Imrul Kayes presided. Special guests were upazila chairman brave freedom fighter Alhaj Naib Ali Biswas, municipal mayor Isaac Ali Malitha, general secretary of upazila Awami League and former mayor Abul Kalam Azad Mintu and others. Secondary Education Officer Salim Akhtar spoke. College Principal Ainul Islam delivered the welcome speech.
According to the sources of Primary Education Office, there was a demand of 1 lakh 81 thousand 200 books from the first class to the fifth class in Ishwardi. 69 thousand books have arrived. There are no books for third and fourth class. These books are allocated to 100 government primary schools, 103 private primary schools and kindergartens in the upazila.
According to the Secondary Education Office, the demand for books in secondary schools is 3 lakh 54 thousand 560. 1 lakh 371 books arrived. 53.70 percent of secondary books have arrived. The demand for Madrasa books is 82 thousand 155. 57 thousand 905 books have arrived. 70.48 percent books of Madrasa students have arrived. These books have been allotted to 46 secondary schools and 23 madrasas of the upazila.
Primary Education Officer Asaduzzaman said that according to the demand, the complete books have not arrived yet. Class III and IV books have not arrived. I kept in touch all the time. Hope to get it soon.
Upazila Secondary Education Officer Salim Akhter said that 53.70 percent of the secondary class and 70.48 percent of the books are being distributed to the Madrasa students. Books that have not reached the Education Office will hopefully arrive within a day or two. However, we hope that the book festival is being celebrated in every educational institution in a festive atmosphere.
BSS from Rajshah adds: A total of 44,71,000 primary and secondary level students will get 4.14 crore new textbooks in all eight districts under Rajshahi division as distribution of books began here for the new year Sunday as elsewhere in the country.
All the targeted students have started getting new books as schools and other institutions concerned inaugurated their respective book distribution programme through handing over books to students this morning.
A colourful book distribution ceremony was arranged at Agrani School and College in the city Sunday morning. Mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation and Awami League Presidium Member AHM Khairuzzaman Liton attended and addressed the ceremony as chief guest, while Dr Shormin Ferdous Chowdhury, Deputy Director of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, was in the chair.
Additional Commissioner of Rajshahi division Moinul Islam, Deputy Commissioner Abdul Jalil, Divisional Director of Department of Secondary and Higher Education Mahbubur Rahman Shah and District Education Officer Nasir Uddin also spoke on the occasion. Dr Shormin Ferdous Chowdhury told BSS that they have already started distributing books among the students as per the government’s instruction since this morning.
She said 22,46,000 students comprising general, technical and madrasha will get around 3,00,07,004 new books.
Required numbers of books were sent to all the government and registered non-government schools in the district for distribution among the students timely. Dr Shormin Chowdhury, however, said all the students will get new books within 12 days of the New Year.
Sheikh Muhammad Raihan Uddin, Divisional Deputy Director of Department of Primary Education, told BSS that they have also started distributing new textbooks among the students from schools since this morning.
