Motorcyclist killed in road accident in Gafargaon

A motorcyclist was seriously injured after being hit by a pickup van in Gafargaon died on the way to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.The accident took place on Tuesday morning at Suruj Member intersection of Shilasi village of Saltia Union on Valuka to Kishoreganj road.
Deceased was Md. Nuruzzaman Dilip Sheikh,42, son of Afaz Uddin Sheikh of Dhairgaon village of Usthi union of upazila.
According to the family and local sources of the deceased, deceased Md. Dilip Sheikh was riding a motorcycle on the Gafargaon to Kishoreganj road and on his way back home he collided with a pickup van at Suruj Member intersection and fell on the road. Later, locals rescued him first at the Upazila Health Complex and later when his situation worsened he died on the way to the Mymensingh Medical College Hospital in the noon.
Gafargaon police station OC Faruq Ahmed confirmed the truth of the incident and said that the motorcycle was brought to the police station due to the accident.Necessary measures are being taken.
