Fire damages City Dental College hostel in Dhaka
Fire rages through a 13-storey building at Nikunja area of Khilkhet in Dhaka on Thursday.

Firefighters have doused a fire that broke out in the hostel of City Dental College at Nikunja in Dhaka’s Khilkhet.
The fire erupted on the eighth floor of the 13-storey building around 7pm on Thursday, reports bdnews24.com.
Nine fire trucks from three units of the firefighters doused the fire around 8:40pm, said Kazi Rokonuzzaman, an assistant director at the Fire Service and Civil Defence.
He said the students left the hostel immediately after the fire erupted. The firefighters helped four of them evacuate. “They were slightly injured.” The building also houses a convention centre and several offices, including a bank.
