5th Bangladesh Marketing Day held at Rabindra University

The 5th Bangladesh Marketing Day was celebrated with a colorful procession and cake cutting organized by the Department of Management Studies at the Academic Building-2 premises of the temporary campus of Rabindra University on Thursday, December 22. Rabindra University Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Shah Azam was present as the chief guest. Chairmen, faculty, students, officers and employees of various departments of Rabindra University participated in the program conducted by Prashant Kumar Poddar, Lecturer of Management Studies Department of Rabindra University.
In the speech of the chief guest Ravi Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Shah Azam discussed the importance of marketing and termed marketing as “applied business”. He said that the work of marketing is not only to sell and promote products, but how to deliver a product or service to the consumer at an affordable price is as important as it is to create new ideas through research and analysis of customer complaints and expectations related to a product or service.
It is very important for the development of culture. The Vice-Chancellor also said that marketing has set a unique example of its responsibility towards people and society by solving the very frontline tasks of business at the risk of life during the global crisis. He also said that marketing is the heart of an organization. Marketing has functions at every level. An organization can reach its goals by creating new markets for products and services and increasing sales. So marketing should be properly evaluated.
